Evolving into a writer

Updated: Sep 20

Since becoming a member of the Wisconsin Writers Association I've listened to podcasts, attended zoom workshops and joined critique groups to evaluate my writing. What have I learned? I've got a lot to learn!

This has all been great stuff and is pushing me to learn more about the craft of writing.

My goal is to be a published author. I've finished two fictional novels; one is YA and one is a romance/mystery. I've written a couple more short stories, mainly nostalgic feel good stuff. I have submitted two of them and have my fingers crossed.

And of course, there are my Rufus and Me stories. These are faith based, and explore different aspects of living in the contemporary world.

My newest venture is in fantasy fiction. I read what I've got so far to my two Granddaughters and they've given me a thumbs up. One even suggested I turn this into a series. Hooray - great idea. Let's see how I do in this genre.

Watch for me on Goodreads and maybe I'll turn up on SubStack as well. Or, you can find me with my nose in a book.
